Ingrid began practicing yoga as a young adult in order to maintain the strength and flexibility that she developed as a gymnast. She soon realized that yoga was not just a physical practice, but it also helped relieve her stress and anxiety. In 2001, Ingrid decided to move to Cape Cod and change careers, and began working in the fitness industry as a certified fitness instructor and personal trainer. She started teaching a weekly yoga class at her gym, and has been teaching yoga ever since. Because of the personal experience she’s had with anxiety for many years, she hopes to teach others how to manage stress and anxiety through yoga and meditation. Last year, she launched ‘yoga for anxiety’ groups for tweens, and helped develop a teen yoga program for the students at Cape Cod Academy. She holds a 200 hour yoga instructor certification through Kind Yoga. Ingrid has been teaching for over 10 years at several locations throughout Cape Cod.
